We chose to outfit this car with BBS wheels for one reason: there's no other option worthy enough (in my opinion). The wheels are exceptionally light weight, they're strong, and their reputation is completely valid. Besides that, they're simply gorgeous wheels. The gold against the arctic silver is a perfect match.
We decided to go with a Flat6Motorsports inlet pipe because the reviews were all solid. Red was chosen as it's the accent color of the car build. Installation was easy and straightforward. As we were doing this pipe, we also picked up a BMR panel style air filter. The inlet pipe included a cap for the resonator delete.
This is one probably my favorite. The SOUL Performance muffler bypass. Initially we bought a set of muffler deletes on ebay - the price was right and it was a good/ cheap way to see just how loud it was as the reviews are conflicting - some say "you'll take them off after 5 minutes, others say "perfect". I can tell you the "perfect" is the right review. While the SOUL bypass is more expensive than some other options - I can tell you first hand they're more expensive for good reason. The cheaper bypass used a thin wall pipe, where the SOUL pipe is thick. That definitely affects the tone. When I removed the ebay bypass, I accidentally dropped the pipe and it rang for a good 30 seconds. Out of curiosity, I dropped the SOUL pipe and it just made a 'thud'. The tone with the SOUL bypass is just deep.
My other favorite "we mean business" modification is the rollcage from Titan Motorsports. I was absolutely giddy when a giant box arrived because I knew what was inside. I couldn't get the box opened and everything unwrapped fast enough. As soon as the whistle blew to end the work day - the car came in, seats were yanked out and the rollbar went in. An hour and a half later, the car just had a very menacing presence. I mean, a 911 with a rollbar, c'mon.
Rounding out the modifications, is probably the most obvious. SUSPENSION!! We decided against going absolutely ballistic and doing a competition ready set of our CS-PRO 3-way coilovers and went with an "off the shelf" version of our standard CS that you can buy. Main reason, we wanted to perfectly dial in a suspension that you'll use. We tried and tested a few valving profiles to get the perfect balance of daily-driver and track-warrior. Paired up with some pretty conservative rates, I can tell you that daily driving is probably nicer than the OEM suspension. We just did a 20 hour road trip and where I'd normally need a few advils and an ice bath; I was perfectly comfortable. I should mention our route was planned by selecting "avoid highways" so I got a chance to test it's handling confidence even at it's softest setting - spoiler alert : it was amazing going through the Catskills. Not a single hiccup. Absolutely perfect.
